About this Event
Bring family and friends for this interactive, hands-on art workshop! Participants will learn about Romare Bearden and his art-making process. Bearden creates abstract collages influenced by Cubism and Social Realism. He uses different layered materials to tell personal stories through the collage process.
Using Bearden’s artistic influences, participants will explore their hobbies, interests, and personal goals to create a collage. The “Pieces of Me'' collage will be created using magazine images, colored paper, drawings, tissue paper, printed images, colored pencils, and other collage materials. Supplies will be provided for this workshop.
