About this Event
During this change of season and Thanksgiving, tonight we will be creating a Tree of Gratitude, which will display what is most important to us.
First, you will draw, paint, and decorate a tree with branches, leaves, and a root system at the bottom. Within the root system, we will write words describing what grounds us. In the branches, we will write words that describe what is most important to us. Examples might be Health, Love, Hope, Courage, Freedom, Faith, Family, Adventure, Travel…….In the leaves, we will write what we are thankful and grateful for, what we each appreciate. Examples are food, warm home, trust, peace, intuition, nature, water, gardening, career, freedom of choice, friends, kindness…….I the tree stalk and outside of the drawing write what you dream about and want you want to create. Perhaps even include what you see as our obstacles and a way to overcome these challenges. Believe, Trust, Let go. Ideas are creating, laughter, happiness, time with family, wealth, Wisdom……..
To pull the artwork together, add color, shapes, and forms, Hearts as leaves, Different lines, patterns, a sun or moon, Dark lines, skinny lines, curvy lines, and dots. Follow your intuition, take a chance, and create. Step into the unknown and bring your Tree of Gratitude to life.
