About this Event
Please register with the name and information of one adult who is attending, then choose the total number of adults and children attending for each family in the dropdown menus. Please do not register each person separately. Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
Join UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County for an evening of family friendly fun to learn all about Florida's fascinating serpents. During this event, families will have the opportunity to meet Maizey, our resident Eastern rat snake, and participate in fun activities and art projects to learn how to identify some commonly seen species of snakes, distinguish between Florida's venomous and non-venomous snake species, and understand why snakes are so important in a healthy ecosystem.
We hope that learning about snakes' cool adaptations and behaviors will help you appreciate these infamous creatures.
This event will be held primarily indoors. It is recommended to bring an extra layer in case you get cold.
Families of all ages welcome, fun activities for kids.
