Training will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. on both days.
FEAT is for Kansas families, youth/young adults, and individuals who serve or support Kansas youth and young adults with disabilities.
Friday, March 7, 2025 - Part 1: Building the Dream of Employment
- Customized jobs - Outside the Box job possibilities
- Transition services in the IEP to support employment
- Meet individuals who have disabilities who are successfully employed
- Youth breakout session
Saturday, March 8, 2025 - Part 2: Identifying and Accessing Employment Resources
- Services, programs, and information to support gaining and maintaining employment
- Antidiscrimination laws
- Visit with state and local adult service agencies that support individuals with disabilities
- Youth breakout session
