About this Event
The 2nd annual Heartland Book Festival will take place on October 12 at the Central Library in downtown Kansas City with authors, books, activities, and more! Join us for a workshop in room 311 about crafting family cookbooks.
Food is the language of family. The Library’s Lucy Donnelly discusses her nearly 15-year effort to produce a multi-generational cookbook that captures beloved family recipes for special occasions and everyday cooking. You’ll also learn how to craft your own family cookbook that can be shared as an heirloom for generations.
The Heartland Book Festival is co-presented by the Kansas City Public Library, Missouri Humanities, and the Missouri Center for the Book.
