Spend time in the natural beauty of the Park at our Family Campout the weekend of Oct. 26-27. This hassle-free camping experience in the will provide your family with the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and learn about nature.
You can spend your weekend:
— Helping biologists from the and the catch, identify and release various wildlife;
— Assisting with a fish survey of the Allerton Mansion Pond;
— Hiking to look for mussels along the Sangamon River; and
— Listening to a ‘hawk talk’.
Food will be available throughout the weekend from area food trucks and the . Feel free to bring and cook your own meals as well, as long as your flame is enclosed.
$15/person ($10/child eight and under). Register by Oct. 23. All sales are final.
NOTE: Participants need to bring their own camping equipment.
