Bring the family out for a good old-fashioned campout! Join us under the starry skies of Johns Island County Park for an evening of stargazing, good vibes, delicious food, and toe-tapping tunes! Indulge in the sweet delight of roasting marshmallows, and join the Lowcountry Stargazers for an enchanting stargazing experience. It's a night of family, fun, and making unforgettable memories.

Cost is $25 per person (kids ages 3 and under are free)
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in: 1 - 5 p.m. on March 15 and check-out is 10 a.m. on March 16. Campers may still enjoy the park after check-out, but must be packed up by 10 a.m.
Event Notes
Campers will have time to explore the park at their leisure before sunset.
The park offers an archery range and disc golf course if you have your own equipment.
Dinner will be offered 6-8 p.m. and is included in ticket price. Menu will be announced soon. Outside food is permitted.
A marshmallow roasting pit will be offered, complete with marshmallows and sticks provided for you.
Lowcountry Stargazers program will begin at 8 p.m.
This event is rain or shine.
Camping Rules
The park is off-limits from sunset to sunrise.
Campers are prohibited from sleeping in their automobiles.
RV camping can be accommodated for an additional fee.
The designated camping area will not have assigned campsites.
Shared picnic tables will be available onsite on a first come, first served basis.
An adult must accompany all campers under 18 years of age for the duration of the visit.
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
Equestrian camping not allowed for this event
No open fires allowed. Cooking with approved camp stoves only.
No pets allowed.
Fireworks, drones, and other dangerous projectiles are prohibited.
Quiet hours are 10 p.m. - 7 a.m.
Golf carts are permitted on the showgrounds and the roadways within Johns Island County Park. All golf cart drivers must have a valid driver’s license and insurance. Golf carts are not permitted on park trails, paved or unpaved.
Except for mobility scooters, no electric scooters are allowed.
Smoking, vaping or tobacco use is prohibited at Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission-owned and operated facilities, programs and events.
The Johns Island County Park Rules also apply. Local law enforcement and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources have jurisdiction at this facility.
