Join former Family Art Center staff Anna Klein and friends for a fun-filled Family Art Weekend at YMCA Camp du Nord! This is the perfect chance for the whole family to immerse themselves in the beauty of the north woods during the peak of fall colors.There are NO age groups offered this weekend, but plenty of opportunities for families or individuals to create! Food Service in the Dining Hall will be available for an additional fee.
Program Options will include visual journaling, Gelli plate printing, indigo dye, tapestry weaving, hiking, paddling, family saunas, and so much more!
Tentative Schedule for the weekend:
THURSDAY
Arrive at camp after 4:00 pm and get settled in for the weekend.
FRIDAY
8:00 am - Breakfast (registration required)
9:00 am - Weekend Orientation
9:30 - noon - Morning Program Options
12:30 pm - Lunch (registration required)
2:00-5:00 pm - Afternoon Program Options
5:30 pm - Dinner (registration required)
7:00 pm - Community Singing
8:00 - 11:00 pm - Adult Saunas
SATURDAY
7:30 am - Cheer on the Ely Marathon starters at Gateway House
8:00 am - Breakfast (registration required)
9:30 - noon - Morning Program Options
12:30 pm - Lunch (registration required)
2:00-5:00 pm - Afternoon Program Options
5:30 pm - Dinner (registration required)
7:00 p.m. - Closing Art Show Gala reception
SUNDAY
9:00 am - Camp Store open
10:00 am - Brunch for all campers
11:00 am - Departure
