Family Art Night: Nature Wall HangingsSeptember 11: 6-7:30pm
Create a canvas wall hanging with an easy, fun three step process using oil pastels, liquid watercolors, and eco-friendly glitter. This is an art project for all ages from preschool to adult. Each art work is unique and amazing. Young learners will delight in the sensory experiences while older children create more detailed pieces. At the end we’ll get the wall hangings ready for display with a stick and yarn hanger made with natural materials.
This event is perfect for families looking to spend quality time together while engaging in a creative activity. No prior artistic experience is necessary.
Fee Includes:
– All the supplies for each family to create 2 art projects. (Additional projects can be purchased for $10 by visiting the Gift Shop or calling at 910-486-0221 ext.26)
– Guided instruction from an experienced teacher
– Light refreshments and snacks
– A unique “Mocktail” to enjoy while creating your art
– Admission to the Garden’s Thursday night hours
Beer and wine may be purchased in the Gift Shop for adults ages 21+.
Fee: $40 per family, $35 for Garden Members, $10 for an extra project
