Each month, Families on the Farm participants will engage in farm-based projects including seasonal gardening tasks and land stewardship. In the winter and summer months, we may spend part of our time indoors for comfort, but we will aim to be mostly outdoors for our programming. Once a season, we will share a meal together and enjoy some extended nature-play time before diving in to the month's activities. All events will take place at CEI's Freetown Farm property.
Family Nature Club event plans are developed with kids ages 6-11 and their grown-ups in mind; all siblings are welcome and families are encouraged to attend with grandparents or extended family when they are visiting. For more details about CFIN programming click here.
Our year will begin on Sunday, March 15, 2026 and continue through Sunday, February 21, 2027. We will offer limited drop -in months for families who want to experience our events without committing to a full year.
We will meet on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 1:00-3:00PM. One Sunday a season yearlong members will gather at 12:00 for a potluck/picnic!
