Fame The Musical is an energetic stage show, based on the 1980s film of the same name and tells the story of students at New York City’s celebrated School of Performing Arts, who realise their path to stardom isn’t always smooth sailing.The musical follows the inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work in order to achieve their dream putting their “name in lights.” With vision and wit, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today. The characters discover it takes much more than talent to achieve their goals, they must find their true artistic voice, build up their confidence, learn how to collaborate and work very, very hard.
Our enthusiastic Youth Theatre are in the midst of rehearsing hard to bring you this dynamic musical with memorable songs and plenty of energetic dance routines. Come along and support some wonderful local talent and have a great night of musical theatre too!
Evening performances commence at 19:30 and the matinee at 14:30.
