About this Event
Ahead of the Australia and New Zealand Falls Prevention Conference, join the Falls Prevention Alliance Australia for an engaging policy workshop led by Peter McCue, focusing on best practices for driving policy change to reduce falls among older Australians.
This interactive workshop will explore the political, policy, and practical challenges of advancing a National Falls Prevention Action Plan in Australia. Participants will analyse key policy influences, learn from successful falls prevention initiatives, and apply political theory to develop actionable advocacy strategies. Through expert presentations and guided group activities, attendees will examine past advocacy efforts, explore public policy insights, and collaboratively consider content and approaches for a national plan—drawing lessons from allied health and beyond to drive meaningful policy change.
Lunch will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements, allergies or mobility requirements.
