About this Event
Fallou Wadje is a Harlem based Senegalese artist and fashion designer who was named after the century-old Senegalese tribe and spiritual practice founded by Wadje’s great-great-grandfather, Maam Cheikh Ibrahima Fall.
She uses art for her own healing as she expresses spirituality through fashion and art. She believes by decoding her own healing through her work, that same energy will be shared with her clients; to awaken, challenge and uplift their conscienceness. And that her creations brings healing. She started doing art two winters ago.
Her latest work are coloful abstracts that combine spirituality with art, uses both English and Wolof words, symbols and dynamic movement to create unique digital print collages, and is built as compositions about the memory of Senegal and about her life in Harlem.
