About this Event
This workshop will cover:
- Landing effectively and safely with momentum
- Building jump power and confidence
- How to keep progressing these skills beyond the scope of a single workshop
Who Is This For? If you love to climb but feel like your knees and spine are made of jelly every time you fall off the wall, this workshop could be for you. If you're working up to some highball bouldering this summer and want to make sure you've got your bases covered, this workshop could be for you. If you're a comp climber and want some insight from a specialist on how to develop more explosive capacity in your lower body, this workshop could be for you.
What to Expect: All skill levels are welcome. Participants should be prepared to run, jump, climb, and practice falling in a controlled environment. Participants are encouraged to bring athletic clothing and shoes or be prepared to participate barefoot. Participants should be prepared to share any relevant injury history with the coach before starting the workshop.
About the Coach: Max Henry has been coaching parkour since 2010. He has been a guest coach at some of the sport's most prestigious events in North America and Europe, and currently advises the United States Parkour Association as a member of their certification review board. He has been a passionate (and mediocre) climber since 2013 and has previously worked with The Cliffs LIC climbing team as a parkour coach.
