Before the Thun and Janssen era of mills and manufacturing, Wyomissing was first settled by Welsh and German immigrants. Their legacy still lingers in the names of neighboring communities and hidden stories of the land. On each walk date, you’ll have the option to join a guided tour at 10:00 AM and discover this early chapter of Wyomissing’s history in a way you’ve never experienced before.
Along the way, you’ll uncover Wyomissing’s fascinating past:
Hear the echoing mystery of Old Man Echo
Imagine life on the once-bustling Lutz’s Farm
Learn about the industrious work at Rieth’s Gristmill
Wander scenic trails like Old Wyomissing Road and the glowing Golden Meadow
But the Fall Walk Series is more than just a walk—it’s a chance to connect with nature, neighbors, and the heartbeat of our community.

Support: We’ll be collecting non-perishable food donations for Helping Harvest Food Bank and contributions for the Wyomissing Recreation Department to keep programs like this thriving.
