Fall Volunteering at Cloven Heart Farm Sanctuary

The weather is getting cooler for Fall, so that means another trip to Cloven Heart Farm Sanctuary in China Spring, a quick 20-minutes west of Waco. In the spirit of spooky season, it's encouraged that every volunteer bring a pumpkin 🎃of any size (and any amount) that we can give to the animals after our volunteer shifts!

2️⃣

CHFS asks us to fill out their online Volunteer form and their Liability Waiver. You may digitally sign the liability waiver and email it to [email protected] OR print it out, sign it, and bring it with you to the sanctuary for collection.

3️⃣

Volunteering will be from 10 AM to 12 PM. So be sure to start driving with enough time to arrive at 9:45 for orientation!

4️⃣

Davy Divine, the founder, will introduce the sanctuary for those who are new, and list the duties needed for that day. We will split the chores amongst ourselves based on our abilities and preferences. I'm sure you'll be fighting amongst yourselves to get the coveted poop scooping duty!

After volunteering, feel free to join for lunch in Waco (location TBD but likely Clay Pot Restaurant).

Info: Depending on where you're coming from, it should take about 1h and 45 minutes from Downtown Dallas to get to China Spring, TX. If you need carpool arrangements, please DM me! Be sure to bring your pumpkin(s) and liability waiver if you've printed them out.

Info: Ensure that you have your volunteer form and liability forms filled prior to volunteering. Davy, the founder of the sanctuary will divvy out duties for us.

Info: The hard stuff!

Info: Hopefully you brought a pumpkin or two! We will be feeding the animals pumpkins that we brought with us as a treat and enrichment activity.

Info: The restaurant we'll go to is TBD. Last trip we went with Clay Pot Restaurant (Vietnamese), and we may do it again. Obviously attendance is not required, but volunteering will work up an appetite.
