For October, we have decided to focus on Domestic Violence Awareness and help collect donation items for Project Woman. šProject Woman is dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault by providing services and programs to protect, educate and empower. They offer a full range of programs that are trauma-informed and non-victim blaming. These include a 24/hour crisis & help line, emergency temporary shelter, supportive housing solutions, empowerment, and advocacy. Additionally, Project Woman provides community advocacy, prevention, and education to promote awareness and social change necessary to end gender-based violence. We will gather donation items at the beginning of our ride that would include self-care supplies, everyday home essentials, ect. There will be a list of items that are needed posted in the event discussion thread.
Our road ride route will wind through the picturesque Hocking Hills area, allowing participants to enjoy the autumn beauty while making a positive impact. The journey includes a stop at Lake Hope for a break and restroom use before continuing to Moonville tunnel, with some gravel roads leading to the Moonville parking area. After we will be traveling back to Millstone for some BBQ.
Join us in collecting items and supporting survivors. We will meet at the Millstone parking lot to launch this meaningful endeavor. Please ensure your vehicle is fueled and that you use the restroom beforehand, as facilities may not be accessible at the meeting point timeframe. Additionally, Please bring a two-way radio for effective communication during the ride. This will help us stay connected and together as a group. We'll be using channel 22. If you do not own one Iām sure we can let you borrow one for the day.
