I plan on being at the Phillips 66 by the Gerbes off Eastland around 11:30 am. Would like to roll out at noon. Scenic fall ride with chill pace tentative details...
I'm hoping by mid-day the temps will be high 60s and afford us a good window of riding before sunset.
As of right now, we are looking at meeting in Jefferson City, slabbing it to Linn, then taking HWY100 to Hermann. In Hermann, it was suggested that we could eat at Stone Hill Winery. It is a bit pricey, but good time of year to do a winery in Hermann and they offer a 30 minute tour. Please voice any objections to this if this ends up being a deal breaker for your attendance.
I think it would be nice to grab a scenic fall photo of the bikes and riders also.
A 75 min ride from Jeff to Hermann, at least an hour for lunch (maybe 90 if we do the tour) and a 75 min ride back to Jeff. If we got folks coming from 20 to 40 minutes out, then their total time would be 5'ish hour. Leave JC at noon and hopefully everyone home before 4:30/5 pm. Sunset around 6:30 pm so a little window before darkens and temps drop.
Still open to route, dining and other suggestions.
