IU Children’s Choir Fall Placement Sessions
2025-2026
The IU Children’s Choir will be holding placement sessions on Tuesday, September 2nd. A part of the IU Jacobs School of Music’s Jacobs Academy, IUCC is comprised of 4 different ensembles that provide singing opportunities for children ages 5-13. This year, our performance calendar includes our annual Fall and Spring concerts. In addition, members of IUCC will participate in the IU Opera Theater production of La Bohéme, and in other venues around the community.
Placement sessions for all IUCC ensembles will be held on the 2nd from 4:30-6:00 at First Presbyterian Church, Bloomington (221 E. 6th St. Bloomington). Singers do not need to prepare anything and will be heard in the order that they arrive. Placement sessions generally take 10-15 minutes.* For placement sessions, we only need to hear singers in grades 2 and above who are new to our program. Singers in grades K and 1 do not need to attend placement sessions and can register online at: https://jacobsacademy.indiana.edu/descriptions/childrens-choir.html*
