Join us at the Turkey Creek Sanctuary on Saturday, November 8 from 6 to 8 PM for Our Fall Owl Prowl. $25 per person. This class is for ages 12+.This is one of our most popular classes! Join us for an evening walk in the Sanctuary to look for owls. The walk is lead by experienced birders to help us find owls.
The initial part of class will consist of classroom discussion on the biology and identification of owl species in Florida. The remainder of class time will be spent in the Sanctuary, calling for owls at various locations on the boardwalk and primitive trails. During the field portion of the class, students and instructors will be traveling to different habitats within the Sanctuary. The terrain is mostly sandy on primitive trails with a few wet spots, so please dress accordingly and be prepared for a hike of light to moderate intensity.
Pre-registration is required for all Turkey Creek Sanctuary classes, workshops, and tours. Please call (321) 676-6690 to sign up. No walk ups please!
