Volunteer field day to work and restore USS Joseph P. Kennedy Jr DD-850. Multiple day event. Updates will be provided here.Spend a day volunteering to preserve YOUR Vietnam\Cold War era destroyer just as the sailors did. Work efforts include cleaning, scraping, painting, and organizing exhibits.
No experience is needed and all equipment is included to accomplish the project. Please note that projects will be both inside and outside of the ship. Work clothes, hat, adequate footwear, work gloves, and personal protective equipment you might have and be comfortable with is recommended.
If you have a skill such as welding, plumbing, or metalworking, please let us know.
