Event Description:
Join the Newark People’s Assembly and the Department of Public Works for a citywide Fall Neighborhood Streets Clean-Up on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Rain Date: Sunday, December 8, 2024). Together, let’s enhance the beauty and cleanliness of our neighborhoods while building a stronger sense of community!
We’re calling on community partners, block/neighborhood/tenant associations, high school students, sororities, fraternities, social fellowships, faith-based institutions, first responders, and essential employees to join us in this impactful initiative.
How It Works:
- Assemble your team of volunteers and choose a neighborhood/street to clean. If you don’t have a specific location in mind, one will be assigned to you.
- Cleaning supplies will be provided by Newark’s Sanitation Division.
- Light refreshments will be available at designated stations throughout the event.
When registering, please include:
- Contact person’s name, phone number, and email address
- Organization’s name (if applicable)
- Number of participants on your team
- Preferred neighborhood/street for clean-up (if no preference, we’ll assign one)
