Join Native Landscaping Professional John Dwyer of Magna Silva Gardens and the Blue Ridge Chapter for another easy stroll on the paths and trails at the Northwest NC Visitor Center, A NC DOT (Department of Transportation) sustainable rest area that is landscaped completely with native plants!Highlights will include spectacular displays of fall color on trees, shrubs and grasses, as well as eye-catching seedheads and some of the last wildflowers of the year. Total distance is ~1 mile and is expected to take 1.5 hours.
We will be walking on paved and natural surfaces and the walking will be easy. It is a short walk to the facilities at any time. Be prepared to see a huge diversity of native trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers! We will meet in front of the restrooms and begin the walk at 9:30 am.
