Details: Join us in search of fall migratory bird species such as waterfowl, sparrows, and thrushes. The birding destination will be determined on the day of the outing, with a maximum drive time of 20 minutes one-way. Sightings will depend on the status of migration, location, and weather conditions. Bring binoculars if you have them. We’ll have a few pairs of binoculars available to borrow. This field trip is free and open to the public. Birders of all experience levels welcome.
In the event of severe weather or thunderstorms, the event will be cancelled with no rain date. If the weather appears questionable, call/text Kelli for confirmation of field trip status: 920-573-2121.
Accessibility: Maximum estimated walking distance of half a mile on paved sidewalk or crushed asphalt trail. Viewing from a car may be possible.
Directions: Meet at the Hwy 41 and Hwy 76, Green Valley Road Park and Ride, 5300 Green Valley Road, Oshkosh. From there we will drive to the birding location that offers the best opportunity to see fall migratory species.
