Please join us as we celebrate our wonderful running community the transition into the glorious fall season by hosting a picnic and potluck for all our Bloomington runners, walkers, friends & family!We’ll kick things off with a group photo before heading off for our usual Wednesday run, but it’s really the after-party that’s the main event! For our post-run cookout, SYRG will provide burgers and hotdogs along with bottled water (vegan options will be available). Please RSVP via this event page so we can plan for how many people we can expect to feed! Folks are more than welcome to contribute by bring a side (chips, fruit, veggies, etc..) or desserts (cookies, cupcakes, etc...) to share, but it is by no means a requirement. If you know you’re planning to bring something, please leave a comment below (or add it to the google sheet) saying what that will be so we can plan for there to be an appropriate amount of food and reduce any side/dessert overlap.
The starting location for both the run and picnic will be the covered shelter with the fireplace near the splash pad/playground. We will have volunteers stay back to cook the burgers and hotdogs and watch over the food while we are all out running & walking, and of course your friends and family are welcome to join for a walk or run or can hang out at the picnic site. Once all our runners/walkers make it back we will commence our fall celebration!
