The City of Marion celebrates the return of the Fall Into Marion Parade sponsored by Farmers State Bank on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. It is part of a full line-up of free community events happening throughout the month.
The parade will start at the intersection of 1st Avenue and 15th Street. It will travel north on 15th Street and then west on 6th Avenue from 15th Street to 9th Street. Both Marion and Linn-Mar High School marching bands will be featured, along with a variety of non-profits, businesses and other organizations. Floats are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded.
To sign up to participate, please visit www.cityofmarion.org/fallintomarion and register online by Sept. 9. Registration is $40 for for-profit organizations and $5 for all others. Day-of entries will not be accepted.
