How the Homemaker Swap Works
1. What to Bring
Each person brings 11 of the same items. These can be baked treats, homegrown produce, handmade creations, or anything else you’d love to share 🍪🌿🧵🥕.
2. Display Table
When you arrive, place your items on the shared swap table so everyone can see the goodies.
3. The Swap
• Each participant will get a number when you arrive. I will be drawing numbers and we’ll take turns picking one item at a time from the table.
• This continues until everyone has chosen 10 new goodies to take home.
• The 11th item from everyone’s contribution will be combined to create a care package.
4. Giving Back
The care package will be donated to a local in need.
5. Labelling & Samples
• Be sure to include a simple label with ingredients, if applicable.
• Samples are welcome, so others can taste before swapping.
Drinks and finger foods will be provided. This event will be mostly outdoors (covered area). We will have a heater set up in case it is cold, but please dress accordingly. Please RSVP so I can get a head count.
No vendors or exchange of money. Just good old fashioned community trading!
Long story short…
You bring 11 items, you go home with 10 NEW items.
You contribute to a good cause.
