Join Iowa Faith & Climate Network and the Iowa Methodist Federation for Social Action for a special fall gathering! This free, community-wide event is an opportunity to connect, learn, and be inspired.Doors open at 9:30 a.m.—come early to enjoy coffee and fellowship before the program begins.
The morning will feature a panel of Iowa environmental leaders, moderated by Deaconess Irene DeMaris, exploring the intersection of faith, environmental justice, and local action. In the afternoon, Tim Gossett—joined by faith lobbyist Jeff Anderson—will lead a hands-on workshop, "What's Your Climate Story?", guiding you to craft your own compelling narrative to share with friends, family, and elected officials.
Lunch will be provided at noon, during which Iowa MFSA members will hold their annual board election. While MFSA historically has been rooted in the United Methodist tradition, all are welcome to attend and participate in this inspiring day of faith and climate action.
Please register at https://iowafaithandclimate.org/rooted-in-faith-rising-for-climate/ so we are able to have enough food for those who attend.
Stay tuned! We'll be sharing more about our panelists and speakers in the coming weeks.
