On Saturday, November 9th the Bluewater Education Foundation will be hosting a workshop and dinner at the Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre!We have Charlee from NakdBasics running the afternoon workshop. In the workshop you will have an opportunity to create your own bath salt blend using various herbs and plants. You will learn the benefits of these plants and what medicines they can provide you. Charlee is the founder of NakdBasics from Owen Sound. She is a chartered herbalist, registered nurse, certified aromatherapist and more! Charlee has extensive knowledge of local plant botany and sustainable foraging.
We have Chef Zach Keeshig of Naagan dining serving the evening dinner. Zach Keeshig was born in Wiarton & raised in Owen Sound, this is where he attended culinary school locally at Georgian College under Anthony Bevan. After culinary school, Zach apprenticed locally under Chef Tim Johnston (Cobble beach), later working and staging at regarded restaurants such as Michelin recommended Langdon Hall (Cambridge), Micheal Stadtlander’s Eigensinn farm (Singhampton), 1 Michelin star Restaurant Pearl Morissette (Jordan ON), Michelin recommended Canoe (Toronto ON) & most recently at 1 Michelin star Enigma (Toronto ON).
Zach now runs a small upscale reservation-only 17 seat dining room he calls “Naagan” (Ojibwa for Dish) set to open in the historical Chicago building. Zach calls his cuisine progressive aboriginal using things from the land fusing his Ojibwa background with French techniques. Chef Zach will be serving a 3 course meal using things they’ve either foraged/sourced locally/grown.
Weather dependent we will have the Bluewater Astronomical Society onsite after dinner for a nightly viewing of the night sky. This is complimentary but donations are welcome!

Workshop only. 1pm-3pm
Dinner only. 5:30pm-7:30pm
Both. 3:30pm-7:30pm
