It is with good reason that Door County is on almost any list of the best places to see fall foliage in the country. Capturing that beauty with a camera has never been more convenient thanks to smartphones. But taking a picture of those vibrant colors isn’t as successful as making an image. Popular Door County and Chicagoland photographer Mike Caplan will be your mentor in this workshop that will take you from composing your image, to properly exposing it, then putting the finishing touches on with editing software. This workshop will be specifically tailored for iPhone users but all digital cameras are welcome provided you understand their basic operation. We will begin with an iPhone primer at Articipation Gallery in Sturgeon Bay. You will be asked to download Mike’s favorite free editing app while there. The group will be provided the address to a “secret” location for part of the photography session at that time. It’s less than a half hour from the gallery and there will likely be stops along the way based on the foliage.
The workshop will be held Sunday October 6 between 10am-1pm and the cost per person is only $55 with a maximum of 12 attendees.
Your images will pop!
