About this Event
During this autumn hike at the Robert A. Kinsley Nature Preserve, we will learn to identify tree species by leaf pattern, bark texture, and fall color. We will examine the complex forest community, from fungal partners to mighty oaks, and learn how we can all be good stewards of the forest!
What to Expect: This is a moderate-to-difficult 2-3 mile hike out to Buzzards Roost and back. This event is open to ages 8 and up (participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). There are no restroom facilities available.
What to Bring: Dress for the weather. Bring a snack and some water. Binoculars and hiking poles are recommended but not required.
Hike Leader: Interpretive Ranger Craig Lehman believes it’s all about connection: connection to each other, connection to community, and connection to nature. He enjoys facilitating outdoor experiences that enhance those connections and create positive change.
Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend this event after purchasing a ticket, refund requests must be made at least 48 hours before the event.
Cancellation Policy: This event will be held rain or shine, with cancellation for severe weather made at the time of the event. If the Conservancy reschedules the event, attendees will be emailed and tickets will be automatically moved to the new date. If the Conservancy cancels the event, attendees will be notified via email when possible and refunded.
