About this Event
Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, join Sue Henry from Tulusa at Boxwood for an enriching workshop on block printing. Discover the art of creating a beautiful tea towel adorned with vibrant fall shades and designs, perfect for your holiday table or giving as a heartfelt hostess gift.
Sue will be teaching you about the basics of block printing, layout and composition, her favorite color combinations, and how she lays out ink to create her best selling patterns.
All matterials are provided, but Sue asks that you bring a fall-inspired image (no bigger than 4" x 6") that you’ll transform into a block design in class. You'll carve your block, then print it onto a flour sack tea towel before the night is over! Come ready to have fun. You'll leave with your custom block and a beautiful finished tea towel to cherish!
Sue has been creating vibrant block prints on heirloom quality linen using non-toxic, colorfast inks in Alexandria since 2015. We couldn't be more excited to have her share this experience at Boxwood.
Check in starts at 6:45pm with light refreshments and promptly at 7pm, Sue will take over with the workshop.
And don't forget... the Boxwood shopping spree that evening with 15% off your purchases (excludes wall art).
Classes are non-refundable but can be transferable (one time) to another date within 90 days - but please note... we need a 5-day advance notice if you plan to reschedule. If less than 5-days prior to the workshop, we are not able to reschedule, but you will be able to pickup your workshop supplies in Boxwood the following day.
We look forward to sharing a fun evening with you.
