Fall Fest at Kira's Flowers! The market has finished but the warm weather continues which means the flowers are still blooming! And because of this, I've decided to open up the farm to you all this Saturday. Explore the farm, shop some vendors, pick a bouquet, and have a picnic! More info and all the details below.
When: Saturday Oct 4 | 10 to 1
Where: 3404 Springfield Road, East Peoria (I'll put a sunflower by the mailbox and a big UPICK sign on Springfield Road...we are at the end of a half mile long lane so please drive slow and pull all the way down to the end)
What: Fall Fest! A collaboration of Kira's Flowers and AH Ranch Florals & Design featuring meals provided by The Buttery + other amazing vendors (see list below)
I'm offering U-PICK of the whole farm on Saturday! You can pick whatever you can find in the late summer/early autumn fields!! This includes dahlias, marigolds, celosia, cosmos, and a few more types of flowers! Jars of water will be available, and you can fill the jar with stems for just $25. Inside my studio you'll find gourds, pumpkins-on-a-stick, corn swags, garlic braids, and the first of the dry flower bouquets. And don't forget to view the dry flower dress that's on display in there! I will also have a fun build-your-own marigold garland activity just outside the studio.
My friends Amanda & Adrian will be featured on the front lawn selling their natural hide products. Think cowhide and sheepskin rugs, pillows, coasters, and more. Beautiful, natural decor. They will also be offering a dry flower pumpkin arrangement activity that is fun for both kids and adults! This is an up-and-coming business that you should support...and doesn't a cozy sheepskin rug by the fireplace sound perfect for the chilly winter ahead??
We will be provided nourishment by my friends at The Buttery. The Buttery is a cute boutique pantry that is set up inside of a greenhouse in Lincoln, IL. They have put an amazing menu together for the event and will be providing complete meal boxes for you. Vegan option available! We will have straw bales, picnic blankets, and some tables set up for you to have a picnic. Find a good spot and enjoy the peaceful calm of the countryside blended with the melodic voice of Emily Williams on the ukelele.
To make the event even better we will be joined by:
Sunny Lane Farm- my mother! She will be bringing her herbal teas, jams/jellies, fresh and dry herbs, and the last of the fall fruit!
LoveHeyLola- Everyones favorite garbage art lady! Beautiful, environmentally friendly jewelry and art. Made from "trash"!
Daisy Kings Tallow- Handcrafted, tallow-based skincare products from just around the corner in Groveland.
YogiJanie- Essential oil roomsprays and candles
**And to those interested, Janie will be taking over the backyard from 12-1 for a lovely outdoor yoga session. Sign up here: We'll do our best to be under the shade of the linden tree but bring water as it will be warm out!!
The event is free to attend! The meals, U-Pick, yoga, flower activities are all extra cost. Hope to see you this Saturday!!
