Fall Exhibitions Celebration: Touring the Vault: A Centennial Retrospective of the Virginia Quarterly Review The ABCs of the UVA Library
Join us for the Fall Exhibitions Celebration on Wednesday, September 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library! Toast the centennial anniversary of the Virginia Quarterly Review with a retrospective of artifacts from their vault—a century of literary excellence featuring editorial correspondence, manuscripts, page proofs, and other ephemera. Take an alphabetical approach to learning more about the staff and collections that make the UVA Library the vibrant heart of the University community. Meet our staff curators eager to share The ABCs of the UVA Library in celebration of our new University Librarian, Leo Lo. From Artist Books to Zines, Sea Monsters to Pandemic Books, we promise a quick view or deep dive into collections you've never seen!
This is an open house style celebration with light hors d'ouvres and a brief gallery talk by Allison Wright at 6:30 p.m. in the First Floor Gallery. Parking is available in the Central Grounds Garage.
