Jefferson Clay returns to the Cherrity Bar stage on Saturday, October 2nd! An award-winning singer/songwriter/producer based in Austin, Texas, Clay releases modern, alt-pop production with sweeping folk elements and soulful, shout-a-long melodies you’ll swear you’ve always known the lyrics to. Themes in his writing reveal successful and unsuccessful romances, fear of aging and losing touch with loved ones, and overcoming issues with self-confidence and identity.
Jefferson's ear-candied approach to melody, songwriting, and dynamic live performances have commanded multiple national television appearances and songwriting awards, while releases have garnered hundreds of thousands of streams, Spotify editorial playlist placements, and a hastily-growing fan base eagerly anticipating what’s to come.
Ponciano Seoane is a 26-year-old, Cuban-American artist from San Antonio, Texas. He fell in love with music at a young age when he picked up the saxophone at age 11. He fine-tuned his skills in Jazz and Classical, receiving recognition and praise over the years. This transpired into a general love for soulful music, which is what he does today. Ponciano picked up the guitar in 2009 and has made a name in the local music scene since. He performs at many venues and events across Texas Inspired by the likes of John Mayer, Marc Broussard, Sam Cooke, Ed Sheeran, Ray Charles, Allen Stone and James Arthur, to begin his music career, his young son, Liam, is his most profound motivation to continue and succeed in music.
In September of 2016, Ponciano appeared on NBC’s hit television series The Voice. After numerous auditions and out of 40,000 applicants, he received much praise from the judges, and selected Adam Levine as his coach. He won his Battle Round performance and advanced to the Knockout Round, in which his competitor won in a tough contest. Since his return from The Voice, The SA Current and San Antonio Express News have praised his achievements. Ponciano continues to play venues and private events in San Antonio and the surrounding areas, making his mark on the local music scene.
Table tickets are $15 per person, sold as two-top tables ($30 + taxes and fees – 2 seats) and four-top tables ($60 + taxes and fees – 4 seats). General Admission, standing room only, is $10 per person pre-sale (+ taxes and fees) and does not include food service. $15 GA tickets will be available at the door. Artists keep 100% of the ticket sales as Cherrity Bar works to support and uplift the San Antonio music community. Masks are strongly encouraged and social distancing is required during the event to ensure safety for artists, staff, and guests. The Kuriya kitchen will be open for dinner service. This event is outdoor, all ages, and family friendly. We look forward to hosting you!
