The Roxborough Community Orchestra will be performing at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center in Manayunk on November 17th!
The fall concert will feature the legendary voice of Barbara Dever, with pianist José Meléndez, and Dever's daughter, Shauna Dever.
Selections will include Bizet's Symphony in C, and Handel's Ombra mai fu.
Mezzo-soprano Barbara Dever, known for her powerful operatic performances, made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in 1994 as Amneris in Aida. With 24 seasons at the Met, she has portrayed iconic roles such as Azucena in Il trovatore and Eboli in Don Carlo. Dever continues to captivate audiences worldwide and currently serves as a Distinguished Faculty Artist at Montclair State University.
This concert is free! (donations to the orchestra are appreciated!)
Paid meter parking is available directly at Venice Island, and a mix of paid and free parking is available throughout Manayunk.
