In the wake of decades of TV shows, sequels and truckloads of toy lines, it's easy to undervalue 1984’s Ghostbusters as the pitch-perfect, lightning-in-a-bottle surprise hit that it was. The film remains just as hilarious and entertaining no matter how many times you’ve seen it. Simultaneously a launchpad for the comedic stylings of some of Saturday Night Live’s most beloved alumni and a new kind of genre-bending, high-concept, sci-fi/horror/adventure/comedy, Ghostbusters is one of the few films that truly has something for everybody.
