Get outside during Fall Break and learn about all things in nature! Join staff as we discover all the wonderful ways mother nature is a most fantastical artist. After each program, take a wander in the woods to observe living art on the trail.
October 6: Symmetry in Nature
October 7: Lines in Nature
October 8: From Marshy Swamp to Shining Star (with Daughters of the Republic)
October 14: Texture in Nature
October 15: Shapes in Nature
October 16: Patterns in Nature
October 17: Biomimicry
These weekday programs are for school-aged children that must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the pavilion by the playgrounds, except for October 8 (meet in the Nature Center for the guest speaker).
Accessibility: Pathway leading to pavilion is paved. Trails have variable surfaces from sandy/gravel to paved. Expect a 1-hour, 1-mile hike on a variable trail that’s sometimes sandy and uneven and other times paved.
