Explore the connection between music and visual art in this immersive workshop. Participants will begin with a music activity, listening to a song and translating it into visual form on paper using brush strokes and colours that represent the song's tempo and emotions. Inspired by their favorite songs, they will then create unique art pieces by painting on vinyl records. This session highlights how different art forms intersect and how artists collaborate across mediums. All materials are provided, and participants will take home a finished acrylic/mixed media painting on a vinyl record! Join us for a creative afternoon and experience how music can inspire visual expression.
Hand-built Clay Creations 1:00pm - 3:30 pm
Join us for an engaging and creative workshop where you'll explore various hand-building techniques using air-dry clay. Participants will first learn techniques such as sgraffito, coiling, and how to incorporate materials like gems and crystals into their pieces. This all-ages workshop provides a hands-on experience, allowing everyone to create unique and personalized clay artworks. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
