Join us for an engaging Cyanotype Collage workshop where you'll explore the art of creating stunning blue-toned prints using sunlight which will result in a series of finished prints in a variety of sizes (greeting card to poster scale) on quality paper. All materials will be provided.

Workshop Agenda:
Introduction and Overview:
- Overview of the cyanotype process and its historical significance.
Design Creation:
- Participants create their own collages using magazines and other mixed media materials and then trace them onto transparency film.
Applying Cyanotype and Sun Printing: - Participants will arrange their transparency film collages onto the coated paper.
- Exposure to sunlight to develop the cyanotype prints.
- Rinsing and drying the final prints.
About the instructor:
Lorelle Whittingham (she/her) uses materials, such as clay, light, and found objects, to create pieces that are often playful and celebrate imperfections and individuality. She invites viewers on an emotional journey, aiming to provoke creative expression and societal change. Lorelle’s workshops reflect her artistic philosophy, encouraging participants to explore their own identities and emotions through art.
