ARE YOU READY TO HIKE?The first RE Friends & Families HIKE will be: SUNDAY, October 19th, 2025, @ 1:00 PM at South Mountain Reservation, West Orange, NJ
TIME: Please arrive at 12:45 to 12:50 PM (10 to 15 minutes before the start of the 1:00 PM activity), so we can depart on time.
Park and MEET AT: The Clipper Pavilion on Cherry Lane in West Orange next to the Regatta Playground and swan boats (not next to McLoone’s), 0.4 mi south of Northfield Ave and 0.9 mi north of South Orange Ave.
The HIKE will be about 2 miles at a modest pace over mostly flat but rough, rocky (and possibly muddy) trails along the West Branch of the Rahway River in South Mountain Reservation, including a detour to Hemlock.
Hiking poles recommended.
Steady rain cancels.
No dogs please.
