Fall 2025 Childcare Mingler

Each semester, the Office of Student & Community Relations hosts a meet-and-greet for area families in need of childcare and UVM students interested in a childcare job.

Children are welcomed and encouraged to attend!

There will be coat racks and stroller parking available - we recommend not bringing valuables as these areas will NOT be monitored.

• Students arrive at 1:00 pm
• Families arrive at 1:30 pm

Students: Only currently enrolled UVM students (Fall 2025) are eligible to attend the event as prospective childcare providers. A "Student Contact & Work Experience Form" will be emailed to you the week before the event.

PLEASE NOTE: International students on F-1 and J-1 student visas are not eligible to provide childcare because of federal regulations.Students start check in at 1:00PM.

Directions:

*Car: Davis Center directions and parking.

*Bicycle: There are bicycle racks available outside the 1st (Bailey/Howe Library), 2nd (Green Roof), and 3rd (Davis Center Oval) floor entrances to the Davis Center.

*Bus: Several GMT routes stop at or near the Davis Center

As UVM affiliates, we cannot take on the role of holding, exchanging, or advertising the particular childcare needs of parents in the community, or the particular childcare availability and/or qualifications of our students. We can host Childcare Minglers where we bring students and parents together so that they can meet face to face and exchange information if they so choose. We do recommend that parents check references of the students who attended the Childcare Mingler and use whatever screening process they would normally use when hiring a childcare provider.

Info: Students can check in and enter the ballroom to settle in for welcome message from OSCR staff.

Info: Families can begin checking in at 1:30 and then proceed to the ballroom and begin meeting students.

Info: Ten minute warning before the end of the event. There are other events scheduled directly after the Mingler so participants must leave the ballroom at the end of the program.
