Join us for another Brown Bag Concert as the captivating sound of trombones takes center stage in this extraordinary jazz ensemble. The Brown Bag Concert Series, presented by Mechanics Hall and 90.5 FM WICN, has been a beloved tradition in Worcester since 1983. These hour-long concerts by acclaimed regional and national performers are held in the Great Hall on select Wednesdays from noon to 1pm. Bring your own “brown bag” lunch, and enjoy wonderful music while eating your lunch! Cabaret-style seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. All concerts are free, open to the public, and subject to change.

Featuring the talents of trombonists Steve Piermarini and Wayne Branco, their repertoire showcases the timeless compositions of jazz legends JJ Johnson and Kai Winding, whose innovative trombone duets revolutionized the genre. Through their own original arrangements, the band pays homage to these iconic figures while infusing their music with a fresh and modern perspective. The band is rounded out by the pianist John Arcaro, bassist Stephan Arsenault and drummer Mark Branco.
