About this Event
In collaboration with the Faith Sector Community Preparedness Program and NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene - Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response, NYDIS hosts training summits for NYC clergy and lay leaders. The summits, which feature presentations and interactive discussions, will increase knowledge on disaster preparedness and crisis leadership, while connecting NYC clergy to preparedness tools, resources, and partnerships.
This Fall 2022 summit, entitled "Climate Change, Disasters and the Vulnerable Communities We Serve" is a full day, in-person, training focused on providing climate resiliency training, tools, and networking opportunities for NYC clergy and religious lay leaders who are serving dis-invested communities disproportionately affected by the climate crisis.
