Fun fun funMark your calendar for family day, Monday, February 16.
Your FCC committee along with the Falconbridge-Garson Legion, the Garson Lions Club and Nickel Centre seniors, are planning a fun day for the whole family.
The day will start off with a pancake breakfast from 9-11:00 served by the Legion Ladies Auxilliary and sponsored by ER Jewell contracting. There will be a colouring contest to keep the little ones busy.
It will also be judging day for our snow sculpture contest. No theme this year so let your imagination run wild.
Of course there will be sliding and other outdoor activities such as ball hockey and a fire pit to warm your toes.
Lunch of hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served by the ladies auxiliary at noon.
We will be setting up a silent auction with incredible prizes, which were donated for the fall family day.
A fish pond will be set up to see if the little ones can catch the big one.
We are in the very early planning stage but look forward to a tug-of-war, bingo, and many other activities that are in the works.
Of course it takes a village to run this type of event, so we will be looking for vollunteers. Students can earn volunteer hours for school credits.
The best part of family day is that it is free! We do ask that you make a monetary or food donation for the Garson Food Bank if you can.
