"FAIVA and FRIENDS - HOLIDAY SHOW" Brings Polynesian Holiday Spirit to Anaheim
Celebrate the Season with FAIVA, Gary Haleamau & Kāwili, and WAIS in an Unforgettable Night of Music, Dance, and Holiday Cheer Hosted by Miss America 2001 Angela Baraquio Grey!
Anaheim, CA – December 21, 2024 – This holiday season, come experience the magic of Polynesia at the FAIVA and FRIENDS - HOLIDAY SHOW, featuring an incredible lineup of talent at Loara High School Performing Arts Center in Anaheim, CA. Hosted by Angela Baraquio Grey, Miss Hawaii 2000 and Miss America 2001, this festive event will showcase performances by the acclaimed Samoan acoustic trio FAIVA, the award-winning Hawaiian family band Gary Haleamau and Kāwili, and the dynamic Fijian artist WAIS. Special guests Kaulana Ka Hale KULA ‘O Na Pua ‘O Ka Āina and Samoa Matalsi will bring even more cultural richness to this unforgettable night.
Doors open at 5:00 PM for attendees to explore food and craft vendors, offering holiday shopping and authentic Polynesian treats, followed by the main event from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. The evening promises to be a joyful celebration of music, culture, and holiday spirit for all ages.
The lineup includes:
- FAIVA – Known for their powerful, acoustic Samoan sound and rich storytelling, FAIVA has captivated audiences with their recent album Faiva O Sāmoa and prestigious performances at Disneyland and the Pacific Islands Ethnic Art Museum.
- Gary Haleamau and Kāwili – Na Hoku Hanohano award-winner Gary Haleamau will perform with his family band Kāwili, blending Hawaiian music and hula in a performance that radiates aloha. Gary, his wife Sheldeen, and their son Kurin bring the tradition and warmth of Hawaiian music to the stage.
- WAIS – The Fijian-born “one-man band,” WAIS, combines reggae, pop, and soul, creating an energetic experience for his audiences. His performances inspire joy and invite the crowd to embrace the festive spirit.
Special performances by Kaulana Ka Hale KULA ‘O Na Pua ‘O Ka Āina and Samoa Matalsi will highlight traditional Polynesian dance, adding to the holiday celebration’s unique cultural experience.
Tickets are available for $25 presale and $30 at the door. This is an all-ages event, perfect for families and friends looking to celebrate the holidays with the spirit of Polynesia. Children who can sit on a parent's lap attend for free.
