Event Details:
Bonfire and time for fellowship begins at 7:30pm, and the talk begins at 8pm. We will be located in the field to the left of St Philip’s main entrance - at the fire pit (7500 St Philips Ct, Falls Church, VA). S’mores, snacks, and refreshments will be provided for enjoyment, but please feel free to bring your own snacks or beverages to share! Seating is available, and lawn chairs are also encouraged.
Talk Details:
Fr. Briggs will be talking about the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis and the significance of Eucharistic Miracles, with a few examples of miracles documented by Bl. Carlo. This is extremely relevant because Bl. Carlo is slated to be canonized THREE DAYS LATER on April 27th!!
Speaker Bio:
Fr. Briggs grew up in Front Royal, VA, and he graduated from Christendom College in 2013 with BA degrees in Political Science and Economics. For 3 years afterwards, he worked at a local Virginia winery as a cellar master where he learned the craft of winemaking. Fr. Briggs then entered Seminary and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Arlington in 2022. He has been the Parochial Vicar at St. Philip's parish for three years.
