About this Event
The conference will focus on organizing trainings, strategic planning, and opportunities for our volunteer leaders to build a deep and new relationships with one another to help ensure we move forward a statewide campaign to promote opportunity across class and race lines. This is all done to give praise, honor, and glory to the God of Liberation.
During the 2026 election season, we are looking to use our People’s Agenda to push the state legislative & gubernatorial (governor) candidates to focus on the 3 priorities of our People’s Agenda: (1) increase state investment in low- and moderate-income communities; (2) develop adjust state justice system; and (3) create a thriving public school system across zip codes lines.
So, in 2026, during the state legislative & gubernatorial elections, along with our traditional voter engagement work, i.e. voter engagement, voter registration & voter turnout, we will for the first time move a statewide effort to shape and inform what the candidates, and the media are focused on during the election season.
This is an opportunity to push the candidates to focus on core concern, concerns of our communities. The campaign will also improve include a broad grassroots effort to inform and educate our own communities about the priorities of our People’s Agenda.
The $100 ticket fee covers registration, conference, hotel and food costs. Along with that, we do have subsidies for individuals who cannot pay that amount. (Participants will also have to pay for parking at the hotel (Embassy Suitess, in Montgomery).
