United Network for Justice and Peace in Palestine and Israel will host a conference this fall and invite you to attend. “Faith in a Time of Genocide” demands bold discipleship. This conference will empower disciples to confront hard questions. What does it mean for our faith to see Christ dwelling among displaced Gazans? Racism undergirds settler colonialism, apartheid, and genocide. In Canada, anti-Palestinian racism tries to silence calls for justice. Yet, in dark times of suffering and death, God brings life. We must not despair but work together with God, midwifing new life.

United Network for Justice and Peace in Palestine and Israel (UNJPPI) is a network of United Church people, and some who may be ecumenical neighbours or activists, who care about the struggle for justice by Palestinians and the possibility of peace with Israel. Formed in 2012 in response to the Kairos Palestine call for a just peace, the network has the goals to “engage, consolidate, nourish, and channel the energy in the United Church of Canada toward the goal of a just peace in Palestine/Israel, primarily through calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands and for equal rights for all who live in Palestine/Israel, by facilitating education, promoting partnerships, coordinating advocacy, advancing policy and encouraging action.”
