The annual summer conference is back with a new name and new features to show that it is for all adults!
This year’s Faith Formation Conference is titled “Reason, Science and Divine Revelation”. World-class speakers will take up the question of the relationship between science and faith. Does science contradict what God has revealed? Is Divine Revelation outdated? How do we respond to the scientific and not-so-scientific assertions of our times?

Join Bishop Daniel Mueggenborg, Seattle, WA, and Dr. Stacy Trasancos, St. Philip Neri Institute, Tyler, TX, for in-person keynote talks and workshops. Fr. Robert Spitzer, EWTN host and president of the Magis Center, will give a live presentation via the internet. Prof. Fernando Casanova, Catholic theologian and international speaker, will offer the Spanish-language presentations. See the speaker bios below.
The Faith Formation Conference is open to all adults of the Diocese and will be held on August 21, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, at the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center, 6808 S. 107th E. Ave. The registration table opens at 7:30 am with the opening prayer at 8:30 am. There will be sessions offered in English or Spanish.
Participate in person and receive online access to keynote talks with a $25 hybrid registration or simply obtain online access to the keynote talks after the conference with a $10 online registration. For those who register before August 1, a box lunch is included in the hybrid registration. A certain number of extra lunches will be ordered, but those who register late or in person are not guaranteed a lunch. See the registration links above to register today!
Eucharist Adoration and Confession will be available during the late morning and early afternoon on Saturday. The afternoon will feature workshops for parents, catechetical leaders and volunteer catechists.
On Friday there is an orientation for newly hired or volunteer leaders of parish ministries (CRE, DRE, RCIA, etc.), 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Those who assumed leadership within the past 2 years are encouraged to attend. You may register to attend the orientation when you register for the conference. This is simply to give us an idea of how many to expect.
A special reception for rural participants will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, August 20 at the hotel. A block of rooms has been reserved for the faithful coming in from rural parishes. Those interested in more information regarding the rooms for members of rural parishes should call the Office of Religious Formation at 918-307-4904. The conference will also feature many vendors and organizations from our community.
